PURPOSE: To automatically and precisely measure and adjust an oil level. CONSTITUTION: A pulse is given to a pulse motor 1 from a pulse generator 6, and accordingly, a transparent nozzle 3 is shifted from a reference position to the level of the oil surface. The detection of the oil surface is made by sucking oil 3 with the use of a vacuum generator 5 connected to the nozzle 2, and detecting the suction of the oil 3 with the use of a photo-sensor 4. A shift distance of the nozzle 2 is calculated from a number of pulses counted during a shift of the nozzle 2 from the reference position to the bottom of an automatic transmission, and the shift distance of the nozzle 2 is subtracted from the distance between the reference position of the nozzle 2 and the bottom of the transmission so as to obtain the oil level. |
