PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming device of high reliability capable of appropriately correcting color slurring by forming measuring images in the arragement order of an image forming means by making the leading end of every color image as a reference. CONSTITUTION: Measruring pattern images 28 successively developed by a signal from a pattern image signal generating means outside a transfer paper area in each recorder 13 are transferred to a transfer belt 21. On the transfer belt 21, the measuring pattern image 28Bk formed by the recorder 13Bk arranged on the uppermost stream side in the carrying direction A of the transfer belt 21 is formed on the downmost stream side. And also, the measuring pattern image 28C formed by the recorder 13C arranged on the downmost stream side is formed on the uppermost stream side. Respective measuring pattern images 28Bk, 28Y, 28M and 28C are linear patterns extending in a direction nearly orthogonal to the carrying direction A of the transfer belt 21. Thus, distances between respective pattern images 28 are accurately measured regardless of the actual carrying speed of the transfer belt 21. |
