PURPOSE: To reduce time and labor for a transmission operating procedure and to easily learn the procedure by transmitting information while using a file container linked with transmissive data and destination data. CONSTITUTION: A central processing unit 1 reads a program from an external storage medium through an information reader 3 into a storage device 5. When it is judged that a user inserts a document into an envelope, the unit 1 links the inserted document with graphic information. Further, when it is judged that the destination is inputted to the envelope, the unit 1 preserves the destination data in an auxiliary storage device 4 and relates an envelope icon with the destination data. Then, the user drops the envelope icon on a display device 6 of a client computer with a transmission post icon while using an input device 2, drops it into a mailbox, sends the document or the graphic data linked with this envelope dropped into the mailbox to a mail server computer, simultaneously transmits the destination data as well and preserves them in the device 4. Thus, time and labor for the operation procedure at the time of mail transmission can be reduced. |
