FIELD: tractor engineering; forestry tractors. SUBSTANCE: forestry tractor steering gear has gearbox with differential, final drives 1 and brake and steering system. Novelty is that final drives 1 have plates 2 with hinge-mounted levers 4 with hydraulic cylinders 3 and brake bands 5 and springs 9 to operate the brakes. One end of output shaft of final drives 1 has driving sprocket, and other end, pulley 6. Plates 2 are rigidly connected by with cross beams 11 of tractor frame by means of links 10.
