The electrically operated vehicle lock (10) includes an associated control and supply circuit (15,16,17). Opening of the door lock is effected by an actuator supplied by the vehicle battery, and the vehicle includes several such door locks. The electrical supply to the lock is controlled by an electronic interface module mounted within the door. The interface receives power from the battery and instructions from the lock controls (15,16,17) to operate the actuator. The interface also includes a connector (18) ensuring the transmission of information regarding the locked or unlocked state of the door to at least one other door lock. <IMAGE> |
