<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a current velocity detector which is protected against corrosion with reducing gas or corrosive gas, while enhancing mechanical strength and suppressing fluctuation in the quality, by subjecting the lead wire of a heat-sensitive element to insulation treatment before inserting into a metal pipe. CONSTITUTION: The lead wire 2b of a heat-sensitive element 2 is covered with a heat-resistant fluororesin insulating tube 3 for insulation treatment. It is then inserted into a metal pipe 4 fitted, at the end part thereof, with an L-shaped fixing member 8 molded of a heat-resistant insulating resin. The fixing member 8 is then fitted to the upper part of an electrode pin 9 press fitted to a heat- resistant insulating board 10 and the metal pipe 4 is arranged horizontally before the lead wire 2b is connected electrically with the electrode pin 9 by spot welding. In order to protect the connecting part 6 and the lead wire 2b projecting from the metal pipe 4 against corrosion with reducing gas or corrosive gas, the section from the connecting part 6 to the end part of the metal pipe 4 is sealed with an electric insulator 7 comprising silicon rubber.</p> |
