PURPOSE: To improve the heat recovery efficiency by moving down hydrogen storing alloy stored in an upper holding vessel installed at the upper part of a hydrogen storing alloy holding vessel while vibrating the alloy stored in the vessel, and bringing the alloy which generates heat at the time of storing into contact with a heating medium tube provided in the vessel while applying vibration. CONSTITUTION: Hydrogen storing alloy is filled in an upper holding vessel 2, warm water is fed to a tube 7, evacuated in vacuum, and the alloy is dropped in a hydrogen storing discharge reaction vessel 1 while vibrating it by vibrators 4, 5 to absorb hydrogen. The alloy is brought into contact with the tube, the reaction heat at the time of storing hydrogen is recovered, and then the alloy is moved to a lower holding vessel 3. Then, the alloy is moved to the vessel 22 via a tubular conveyor 21, cooling water is fed to a tube 77 in a reaction vessel 11, the hydrogen is introduced, the alloy is dropped in the vessel 11 while similarly vibrating it, and after the activation is finished, the hydrogen is discharged from the alloy. |
