FIELD: medicine, neurology. SUBSTANCE: method involves administration of 0.5 ml 0.1% serotonin solution to patient, blood sample is taken from venous before and 30 min after serotonin administration. Then 0.1-0.2 ml serum blood of patient diluted at 2-fold range is combined with ram erythrocytes treated with serotonin. Mixture is incubated at 37-37.5 C for 50-60 min and at 4 C for 18-20 hr. Multiple sclerosis is diagnosed at constant titer of hemagglutinating antibodies as compared with parental one. EFFECT: simplified method, high precision and specificity. |
