PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate a range that is a certain distance away from and above the bright-dark limit of the range of a road surface illuminated by a low beam, without causing glare to the driver of an oncoming vehicle. SOLUTION: At least one opening 45, 46 is formed between the lower edges of the webs 28 of a screening device. Light emitted from a light source is allowed to pass through the openings 45, 46 and reflected by the lower region of a reflector to form an additional light beam for illuminating a range that is a certain distance away from the upper side of a bright-dark limit produced by a low beam. |
