PURPOSE: To provide an image forming material by which the handling of a high sensitivity image forming material in a light room can be enabled by setting the reflection absorbance of the overcoat layer in the photosensitive layer to a specific value or more. CONSTITUTION: In order to enable the handling of a high sensitivity image forming material that has been spectrally sentitized, in a light room, it is so designed that the maximum of absorption in a photoporimerization initiator is set in the range of infrared of 700nm or more, and that the reflective absorbance of the overcoat layer in the wavelength region in which the reflective absorbance in the range of 400 to 700nm of a photosensitive layer becomes 0.15 or more is to be at least 1.5. Further, it is preferable to set the transmissivity in the wavelength that shows the maximum absorbance in the infrared range of the photoporimerization initiator to be 50% or more, and is further preferable to set the transmissivity to be 70% or more. As the resin to be used for overcoating, polyvinyl alcohol resin, cellulose resin; polyester resin such as polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate; acrylic resin; polyolefine resin or the like can be named. |
