PURPOSE: To obtain the same image quality at all times on the surface and back of transfer paper in double-sided image formation by the image forming device. CONSTITUTION: When double-sided mode is set by a both-sided-mode set means A, a surface-image data detection means C detects surface-image data and, according to the surface-image data and transfer paper information, such as the size, type, etc., of the transfer paper, inputted from an operation part, a transfer-conditions determination means D determines the conditions under which a toner image is transferred to the back of the transfer paper. In this case, it is preferable that an amount of average image-data per unit of the transfer paper is calculated from the surface-image data detected by the means C and the transfer paper information and the conditions of the transfer to the back of the transfer paper is determined based on the result of the calculation. |
