<p>PURPOSE: To effectively repair a flaw having any size by mounting and fixing a repairing member having a fixed size being able to cover the flaw caused on a pipe and a magnetic alloy heater in the above order, and applying an electric current to the magnetic alloy heater for melting the repairing member. CONSTITUTION: In the case of repairing a flaw caused on a plastic pipe 10 made of polyolefin type resin, a long magnetic alloy heater 14 and a repairing member 16 are first prepared. The repairing member 16 is then cut to a fixed size being able to cover the flaw 12, and the magnetic alloy heater 14 is cut to a size suitable to the repairing member 16. The magnetic alloy heater 14 and the repairing member 16 are mounted on a part having the flaw 12 caused on the pipe 10 in this order, and after fixing them using a fixing jig such as a band or the like, a work coil is arranged on the circumference of the repairing member 16. Next high frequency electric power is supplied to the magnetic alloy heater 14 from a high frequency power source to make the heater 14 abruptly generate heat, and the outside of the pipe 10 and the inside of the repairing member 16 are thereby mutually fused for finishing the repairing of the flaw 12.</p> |
