FREELY VARIABLE HEIGHT CHAIR

PURPOSE: To provide a freely variable height chair with which the manufacturing cost is reduced by the reduction of a cost for fabricating a lifting rack and the height of a seat plate is extremely easily adjusted to a desired height with one time of adjustment. CONSTITUTION: This freely variable height chair has supporting legs 2 which are provided with the lifting rack 11 having plural rack grooves 11a arranged in a vertical direction, the seat plate 3 which is freely vertically movable relative to these supporting legs 2 and locking members which hold the seat plate 3 to the prescribed height by being detained in the rack grooves 11a of the lifting rack 11. The lifting rack 11 is formed by pressing. The chair is provided with an indicating means for indicating the height of the held seat plate 3.
