PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for troublesome editing operation and to facilitate the page-by-page detailed specification of a document format and a printing format by determines attributes regarding display or printing, page by page, on the basis of header information and displaying or printing a specified document. CONSTITUTION: An editing/display control means 13 performs editing and display control over header information 16-1 and text data 16-2. Further, a printing control means 18 reads the object header information 16-1 and text data 16-2 to be processed out of a data storage part 16 and controls a printing process when a key decision means 11 decides that an input key is the specification of the printing process. At the printing time, it is decided which of page header information and 'no-header' information a page to be printed has, and a page having a page header is printed by referring to printing format information of a top header and a page header and a 'no-header' page is printed by referring to only printing format information of the top header. |
