PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for troublesome operation by inserting a blank line at an instructed line while a table is held continuous when an instruction to insert a line within the table is given. CONSTITUTION: This device consists of a keyboard 1, a control part 2, a text memory 3, a video RAM 4, and a CRT display 5, and the key board 1 includes a one-line insertion instructing means consisting of cursor keys 6 and a one- character insertion key 7 and a storage control part 15 includes the control part 2, text memory 3, and video RAM 4. When the instruction for line insertion is given in the table, the contents following the insertion-instructed line are moved down and displayed and the insertion-instructed line is retrieved, when an upward component is present on ruled-line data, longitudinal ruled lines only in the vertical direction are displayed on the inserted line continuously in the column direction, but when not, a blank is displayed at the column position of the inserted line. Namely, when the instruction of the line insertion is given in the table, the blank line is inserted at the instructed line while the table frame is held continuous. |
