PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To incorporate a pixel image conversion element and an analog memory element into a pixel cell. SOLUTION: A non-volatile analog memory element 36 is incorporated into the pixel cell with the pixel image conversion element 32 and a controller 34. Such integrated pixel cell has a function for storing information used for controlling a relation between the optical display of the pixel and data display in the electronic form of the pixel. Stored information is desirable to be given to the controller 34 controlling a pixel cell conversion transmission function between optical display and data display. When an optical or electronic input signal is given so that a desired pixel cell response is drawn, stored information sets the transmission function of the pixel. Stored information is desirable to be decided by using feeding back.
