QUALITY ADAPTIVE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To reduce power consumption on a transmission side while securing a communication quality corresponding to a service by respectively setting an error control system at the time of coding and an amplification factor at the time of amplification corresponding to a communication quality required by the communication service. CONSTITUTION: A coder 103 encodes a transmission signal by the error control system proper to the service. Next, an amplifier 203 amplifies the encoded transmission signal by a minimum amplification factor for securing the communication quality to be required and transmits it to an opposit side through an antenna 303. Namely, both of the error control system by the coder 103 and the amplification factor by the amplifier 203 are respectively set corresponding to the service of the transmission signal. But it is also possible that a controller 53 discriminates the service of the transmission signal to change the coding system of the coder 103 and the amplification factor of the amplifier 203 in accordance with this discriminating result.
