发明名称 BASE MATERIAL OF SOLID-ELECTROLYTIC ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent cracking and degradation of performance after temperature has dropped by forming the base material of an electrochemical cell from CaO- completely-stabilized ZrO2 containing a specific amount of NiO, the cell using Y2 O3 -completely-stabilized ZrO2 as solid electrolyte. CONSTITUTION: An electrochemical cell, in which ZrO2 completely stabilized with Y2 O3 is used as solid electrolyte, has a base material composed of ZrO2 completely stabilized with CaO containing 10 to 30vol% NiO. The base material obtained has a coefficient of thermal expansion about equal to that of the solid electrolyte, resulting in reduced rate at which cracking occurs after temperature has dropped. Also, the NiO contained in the base material does not react with the solid electrolyte, so the rate at which the performance of the electrochemical cell degrades is also reduced.
