PURPOSE: To save the waste of materials to improve the productivity and reduce the cost by using a preliminarily spherically molded lithium or lithium-contained alloy as negative electrode material. CONSTITUTION: A spherical negative electrode material 1 having a prescribed capacity is continuously supplied through a chuter 2, a negative electrode can 3 is continuously fed in the aligned state to this feeding point, and the negative electrode can 3 to which the spherical negative electrode material 1 for one portion is supplied is sent to the following process. The negative electrode material 1 is crushed to a prescribed dimension and pressure-connected to the negative electrode can 3 by a pressure connecting bar 4 to provide a required negative electrode. Since a required quantity is thus surely supplied to the negative electrode can, and no cutting or punching process is prevent, the material can be saved, and the productivity can be improved. |
