PURPOSE: To provide a variable color LED device, which can variously change the emitted color, and an LED color control device, which controls the light emission (color and intensity) of the LED device. CONSTITUTION: A variable color LED device with light-emitting diodes R, G and B, which are mounted on a single LED device for mounting light-emitting diodes and emit the red, green and blue colors of the three primary colors of light, is used as an emitting variable color LED device 3. Currents to the light-emitting diodes to emit the respective colors are controlled for every color by an LED emitting color control device 4. The current control circuit 4 is constituted of variable resistors 7, 8 and 9, for example. By controlling the currents, the quantity of light of each color of the three primary colors can bee controlled and as the mixed color of those colors are emitted from the whole LED 3, any color can be made to emit. Accordingly, the LED device can be used as a luminescent pixel unit for not only an outdoor color display device but an indoor color display device and the like and an accurate image can be provided. |
