CONSTITUTION: A defective or damaged useless part 14a of a cable 14 laid on a bottom 12 in a river, a lake or the sea is cut off from the cable 14. Each buoyant body 16 is joined to the part 14a of the cable 14 at intervals in an elongated direction with a string or the like. The useless part 14a is buoyed in the water or up on the water. Then, the part 14a is pulled by a working boat 18 and moved off.
