The snap hook, esp for a person working at heights above 3m with a harness and safety line, consists of a stainless steel body with pivoted catches (2) on its two tips. Each catch is able to pivot sideways, is equipped with a piston and is spring-loaded, so that it returns to its original position once released. The snap hook is suitable for use with a 12 mm dia cable, and allows any intermediate anchoring elements on the cable to pass through the hook without having to open it.
