Alkylation of isoparaffin by olefin

Alkylation of an isopraffin by an olefin is carried out in the presence of a solid acidic catalyst on an amorphous support. The major part of the olefin is adsorbed on the catalyst in an adsorption zone(A), the isoparaffin functioning as a diluent or solvent of the complex. The complex-isoparaffin suspension is directed to an alkylation zone(R).
