The stand is a case (1) supported on a telescopic post (17) whose length is adjusted by an inner coil spring. The post passes through a central hole (25) in the case and through its base (27). The case can slide on the post and it is held in position by a spring (28). The spring has a coil whose inner diameter is slightly less than the diameter of the post so that it locks elastically round the post. It has two branches which extend radially and on which the base of the case rests.
