摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the available operating temperature range while enhancing the detection sensitivity by substituting a rare earth metal for at least a part of Y and/or substituting a heavy metal for at least a part of Ba in a plurality of regions of a YBa2 Cu3 O7 film. SOLUTION: In at least a plurality of regions of a crystal solid material film 2 of YBa2 Cu3 O7 deposited on a silicon substrate 1, for example, a rare earth metal, e.g. praseodymium Pr, is substituted for at least a part of yttrium Y in YBa2 Cu3 O7 or an alkaline earth metal is substituted, in addition, for a part of barium Ba. Alternatively, a heavy metal may be substituted for a part of copper Ce. When Pr is substituted for Y, the concentration is set in the range of 2-40%. This arrangement realizes a radiation detector having high sensitivity and wide operational temperature range.
