PURPOSE: To provide a foreign matter incursion preventing member capable of being easily attached to a copying machine, etc., provided with a driving system having a complex mechanism by providing a bearing fitting hole in an attaching section and incapable of being stripped off with lapse of time. CONSTITUTION: This foreign matter incursion preventing member is provided with a horizontal hood section 1 for preventing falling of foreign matter such as toner and incursion thereof into a bearing sliding section and a vertical attaching section 2, the entire member is constituted of thin member such as 'Mylar' and a bearing fitting hole 3 is provided in the attaching section 2. When the members is attached to a copying machine, etc., the attaching section 2 is fixed to the attaching plate 5 of the copying machine, etc., provided with a bearing fitting hole 4 having the same form as that of the bearing fitting hole 3 so that both bearing fitting holes 3 and 4 are coincident with each other, the receiving section 7 of a bearing 6 is fitted to the bearing fitting holes 3 and 4, the shaft 8 of the driving system of the copying machine, etc., is fitted to the bearing 6 and locked by a clip ring 9. Thus, since the member is easily attached to the driving system and falling foreign matters are received by the horizontal hood section 1, foreign matter such as toner is prevented from falling on the bearing section, being stored in the bearing section and being intruded into a sliding section. |
