The cell filling method involves connecting one end of a vacuum line (10) to the suction aperture of a cell (1), evacuating an internal space of the cell, feeding a liquid crystal (LC) under pressure into the inner space of the cell by means of a feed device (21), and then stopping the supply of pressurised liquid crystal. An under-pressure control device (6) reduces the reduced pressure in the vacuum line (10) to atmospheric pressure while the connection between the vacuum line and the suction aperture (7) of the cell is maintained.
