The applicator consists of a tube (1) with outlet slot (3) which extends along the length of the tube. The first part of the slot has parallel sides, after which the sides slope so that the slot has a V-shaped cross-section. The sides of the V-shaped section make an angle with one another which lies between 60 and 120 deg. and is pref. 90 deg. A number of guide vanes, of trapezium shaped cross-section, are mounted at regular distances in the slot and guide the flow of liquid or paste.
