<p>The two ends (3) of the axle are extensible, and also pivot. Due to the necessary free movement in the hydraulic control system, the wheels follow a more or less undulating path when seen in plan view. A control block is fixed to each extensible axle end, its control slide is coupled via a second telescopic structure to the vehicle chassis. Track width is steplessly adjustable while travelling, and each extensible end has a single-acting hydraulic ram by which pressure can be exerted on the control slide.</p> |
