Locking tilting mechanism for vehicle seat backrest

A hooked locking mechanism to release and lock the backrest of a vehicle seat has a fixed abutment (29) which the locking tooth (30) of the hook mechanism (17) grips behind in order to secure the tilted position of the backrest (13). The hook mechanism is also supported in this position via the securing lever (22), which is preloaded via the accumulator (25). The hook mechanism is located on a bolt (14), with the hook recess (18) located beneath the bolt and an actuating finger (20) located above the level of the bolt. The angled surface of the locking tooth on the hook mechanism is located on the opposite end of the actuating finger.
