INTRAUTERINE CONTRACEPTIVE DEVICE

The proposed intrauterine contraceptive device comprises a horizontal strip (1) with two legs (2) at least one of which has a curved end (3); a coil (4); and a loop (5) joined to the horizontal strip (1) and provided with a thickened base (6). The legs (2) of the straight section of the horizontal strip (1) are configured at an acute angle to the horizontal plane and symmetrically in relation to the vertical axis; both are provided with curved ends (3), the curve being in the form of a circular section, the coil (4) takes the form of a polyethylene strip and is situated inside the loop (5) on an anchoring element (7) connected to the base (6) of the horizontal strip (1) and coaxial with the vertical axis of symmetry of the intrauterine contraceptive device. The legs (2) of the horizontal strip (1) are at an angle of between 5 and 30 DEG to the horizontal. The coil (4) is provided with a coating (8) of refined copper which is applied to the outer surface of the polyethylene strip by plasma deposition. The lower part of the loop (5) is springy and is at least twice the length of the anchoring element (7). The free end of the anchoring element (7) is provided with a spherically curved section (11) and serves as the base for securing locating threads (12).
