The hearing aid has a circuit board (4) with an amplifier circuit (15) and a potentiometer whose rotary knob is formed by a battery chamber (1,2) and which has a slider spring (10a) which runs along a resistance track (10) formed on the circuit board. The resistance track can be formed on the side of the circuit board opposite to the amplifier circuit. The circuit board has a central contact lug (6) which extends through the base of the battery chamber and which makes contact with the negative contact of the battery (5). A second slider spring (11a) can run along a contact track (11) adjacent to the resistance track.
