Radiator wall bracket using splay dowel

The mounting head has a first hole for the fixer screw and a second parallel hole for a supporting screw whose own head thus bears against the wall in question. The bracket consists of a splay dowel drilled out to take the fixer and supporting screws and a screw-fastened bracket head to support to carry the radiator etc. A clamping ring (36) adjusting along the dowel forms a stop face (38) parallel to and bearing against the wall, the ring to be fixed on the dowel as a clamping screw. The two symmetrical halves (42,142) of the clamping ring in the direction of the stop face are punched from sheet metal and toothed together at the free end by fitted teeth or fingers (48,52,50,54).
