Tension meter for roller driven belt of mfd. product e.g. paper, foil, wire, or cable in rolling mill

The tension meter has a fixed position holder (3) and a first (4) and second (5a,5b) cylindrical measurement sensor subjected to a radial force from the strip tension and arranged coaxially to one another and to the holder. Each sensor has a gap running axially formed by a pair of opposite double bent beams (1.1,1.2,2.1,2.2) linking the sensors with one another or one sensor with the holder and each double beam can be deformed by the force component acting at 90 degrees to it and carry strain gauges to measure the resulting deformation. The sensors are rotated relative to one another by a specified angle so that the strain gauges record separately two components (F1,F2) of the radial force lying in the measurement plane and an evaluation equipment calculates the strip tension from the two components.
