The brush has at least one blade (10,12) arranged between the bristles (4) of the brush roller, with its height above the circumference of a brush shaft (1) smaller than the height of the bristles above the shaft. The blade extends over the entire length of the brush roller. The blade can be arranged between bundles of bristles of the roller on the brush shaft. The blade can curve once around the brush shaft in he form of a thread path and can be of toothed shape. It can have sharp-edged protruding teeth as on a saw, and can be driven reciprocally parallel to the axis (6) of the brush shaft.
