Inside the outer plate (2) and between the shafts (7,8) there can be a layer (11) of heat-insulating material. Where the wall member contains a window or door there can be a shaft on each side of the latter. Where there is no door or window, the shafts can be roughly one metre apart. On arrival at site, the wall members can be erected and the shafts filled with concrete to form pillars, onto which a concrete roof is mounted.
