摘要 <p>The present invention deals about an ore sintering process that presents two or more burn fronts of the ore mixture developing simultaneously, at different levels of the sintering mixture layer height. On figure 1, we can see: air inlet (1), layer height (2), sinter formed (3), burn front (4), sintering mixture (5), suction box (6) and gases outlet (7). The oxygen required for the burn of the solid fuel contained on the mixture comes from the atmospheric air, which is forced to pass through the layer due to the suction applied. The process of the present invention makes possible an increase of the productivity of the sintering productivity of up to 230 %, which means, in absolute values, a productivity level of 150 t/m2/24 h. The productivity increase obtained is the consequence of introduction of other burn fronts on the sintering mixture layer. Tests in a pilot scale with the introduction of one more burn front in addition to the conventional one made possible the productivity increase up to levels within 96 t/m2/24 h , which represents an increase of 167 %, considering the reference value of 36 t/m2/24 h of the conventional process during physical simulation.</p>
