The locking arrangement (1.1) consists of a pawl (2) which can be brought into engagement with teeth (1.10). These teeth have been cut on a segment which forms part of the hub of the brake lever. During normal use, the pawl is kept out of engagement with the teeth (1.10) by a spring (5). To engage the pawl with the teeth, a pin with cam (3) is rotated so that the cam engages with a leaf-spring (4) which is attached to the pawl and moves it against the force of the spring.
