The device has bale support faces (5) which run at an angle to an inclined plane surface (4). A conveyor (7) for rolling out the bale is located at least in the inclined plane. The conveyor has revolving chains or belts. Direction reversal axles (8,9) are located on the ends of the inclined plane. Deflection rollers formed as chain wheels are located on the ends of each axle for accommodating and guiding the conveyor chains which are interconnected by carrier elements (11) consisting of metal rods or lathes made of wood or synthetic material.
