Drive device for a door leaf

A drive device for a garage door has a drive chain 15 which runs between two deflections and is detachably coupled to a running carriage 10 arranged displaceably on a guide rail 13 and connected to the door leaf by means of an arm 24 coupled in an articulated manner. The carriage is in two parts with a housing 11 which can be displaced on the guide rail and a driver 12 which is located in the course of the drive chain and can be coupled detachably to the housing of the carriage via a catch bolt 28 operated manually via cord 31 and eccentric 29, 33 in case of failure of the drive to the chain.
