PURPOSE:Exhaust valve opening time is controlled in response to an internal pressure in the cylinder, a period during which a flow speed of exhaust gas is in a sonic velocity irrespective of an operational condition and thereby a cooling condition of exhaust gas temperature is detected to improve the oxidation reaction of the exhaust gas.
