The crane comprises a foldable mast (6) in two parts (7,8), pivoted about a horizontal axis (9). A jib (10) is pivoted (19) at the mast top. The jib is made of several successive elements (11-15). A jib foot (11) of reduced height (h1) is situated in its rear part. An intermediate folding element (14) is connected to the jib foot by an actuator (44-45) carried by a front strut (40). A second jib part (12) of reduced height (h2) is situated in its front part is connected to the intermediate element by an actuator (53-54). A second folding element (15) is connected to the second jib element by an actuator (65-66). It carries a coupling (69) connecting it to the third jib point (13). The jib point of height (h3) is housed in the space between the rear and front parts of the jib when the crane is folded for transport. Tie rods (20,48,52) and front (40) and rear (24) struts support the jib elements.
