The central heating system uses circulating water, and comprises a hearth for mounting in the fireplace beneath a chimney. The water flows through the hearth (1), which is connected by pipes to the heating system outward and return pipes (3, 4). Heat exchangers can be incorporated in the hearth, which can comprise two or more rectangular casing through which the water flows, one being horizontal and forming the base and the other vertical and forming the back wall. The hearth can comprise bottom and back grilles, the bars of which are hollow, so that the water can flow through them. There can also be a further tubular heat exchanger (5) mounted in an inclined position above the hearth.
|
