The shutter for controlling the flow of air in a car heating or ventilating system is assembled from three parts. A thin sheet of metal or rigid plastic (1) is turned up at its edges (1a, b). The sheet is then enclosed in a layer of foamed plastic (2). A frame (3) is formed from wire bent to form a series of U shapes arranged in alternate directions. The ends of the frame (3) fit in the turned up edge (1b) and are secured by protuberances formed by local deformation of the wire. The frame is extended at one end to form a handle (3c). The foamed plastic covering (2) forms a sealing surface over the air outlets of the ventilating system.
|
