This invention relates to the method for measuring the residual capacity of secondary battery, and the measurement comprises the steps of connecting a DC power source(2) and a measuring means(3), in parallel, to both electrodes(1) of secondary battery, and detecting the electrical resistance variable according to the hydrogen concentration of metal hydride on the both nodes.
