PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a preparation containing a specific benzofuran derivative as an active ingredient and inhibiting endometriosis accompanied by sharp pain and hemorrhage. SOLUTION: This preparation contains (A) a derivative (salt) of formula I (R is H, methyl; R<1> , R<2> are each methyl, ethyl, or R<1> , R<2> form a saturated heterocyclic group together with the N bound to both the groups) and, if necessary, further (B) estrogen, as active ingredients. The preferable example of the component A includes 2-(p-chlorobenzyl)-3-[p-(2-dimethylaminoethoxy) phenyl]-6-methoxy-benzo[b]furan. The preparation is continuously administered at a daily dose of about 0.25-400 mg (preferably about 1-20 mg, as the component A) by one or four portions. |
