<p>PURPOSE: To dig as near a digging range preset as possible, by a method wherein presetting of the digging range is not changed even if the height of a construction machine body is changed by the movement of the body, and errors such as manufacturing tolerance for the body, sensor accuracy, setting tolerance and so an do not give influence on the digging range preset, in a digging range-presetting apparatus for a construction machine. CONSTITUTION: A reference light generators 80, 81 respectively emitting light 1, 2 are placed on the outside of a hydraulic power shovel, and a depth from the level of the reference light 1 to a reference point of a digging range is preset using an operating instrument. After that, in digging-work, a height from the center of a hydraulic power shovel body to the level of the reference light 1 is operated on the basis of the information about the position and posture of a front attachment 1A at the time when a reference light detector 70 detects the reference light 1, and a depth from the center of the body to the level of the reference point of the digging range is operated on the basis of that height operated and the depth preset. In the same manner, a distance from the center of the body at the time when a base light detector 71 detects the reference light 2 to the reference light 2 (a base point P) is operated, following which the depth, which is operated, from the center of the body to the level of the reference point, the distance from the center of the body to the level of the reference light 2, and an angle between them are stored.</p> |
