<p>PURPOSE: To move a pallet in any direction at high speed so as to efficiently palletize step-piling articles by palletizing the articles so that at least one long side in plan view of respective step-piling articles is always at least contacted with the short side in plan view of another article. CONSTITUTION: An article which is always supplied in the same direction by a conveyor 1 and reaches an article turning device 4 is changed in direction by 90 degrees if necessary, and supplied to a palletizing device 60. The article is palletized so that at least one long side of respective step-piling articles is always at least contacted with the short side of another article, and so that at least one long side is in a staight line with the short side of another step- piling article. Step-piling articles W1, W4, W5, W8 are formed out of articles not turned by the article turning device 40, and W2, W3, W6, W7 are formed out of turned articles. In this way, a pallet is moved in any direction at high speed, so as to efficiently palletize the step-piling articles.</p> |
