<p>PURPOSE: To provide an excellent design quality by shaping up a contact face at the tip of a post so that it may be matched and placed in contact with the outside surface of a handrail and hiding an opening peripheral edge of a recessed part formed on the handrail with the tip of the post. CONSTITUTION: There are formed a disk-shaped mounting base part 8 and a post 10 projectingly installed to this mounting base part 8 and a handrail mounting part 3 having a thin fit-in projecting part at the tip of the post 10. A contact surface at the tip of the post is so shaped up that it may match with and come in contact with the outside surface of a handrail 4. The handrail 4 forms a recessed part 16 that fits in the fit-in projecting part 13 of the post 10. When mounting the handrail 4, a screw 19 is screwed in and fitted in a female threaded cylinder 17 by way of a threaded through hole 14 formed on the fit-in projecting part 13 so that the handrail 4 may be fixed with a handrail fitting 3. It is, therefore, possible to refine the design quality of the handrail 4.</p> |
