ABSORBING SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION

PURPOSE: To obtain a thin absorbing sheet of a paper state capable of surely fixing a highly absorbing polymer to the interior of an absorbing sheet without damaging absorbing characteristics of the highly absorbing polymer of its own, not making the highly absorbing polymer cause gel blocking even in the case of repeated absorption of a liquid and developing absorbing characteristics of the highly absorbing polymer of its own. CONSTITUTION: The absorption characteristics of this absorbing sheet containing at least hydrophilic fibers, thermally fusible bondable fibers or a paper strength reinforcing agent and a highly absorbing polymer are established when the highly absorbing polymer does not exist on the absorption surface in which the absorbing sheet absorbs a liquid, the highly absorbing polymer is dispersed and arranged in the interior of the absorbing sheet and bonded and fixed to the hydrophilic fibers constituting the absorbing sheet. The highly absorbing polymer has 5-300g/m2 dispersed weight and the absorbing sheet has 0.3-1.5mm thickness.
